I moved to Asheville earlier this year with my husband and I’ve spent many hours walking the streets, taking in the unique sights and sounds of the area. Often, when taking my pictures, I like to look beyond the obvious, past the initial flashiness of a scene, and find something small and hidden. In that vein, I recently walked down Haywood Street in West Asheville, capturing the many different ways store owners use color to display everything from their street numbers to their business names. Enjoy!
