When you see something new opening in Asheville, there is always a story behind it. This one is great. Angelo, one of the owners of the Twisted Laurel used to be a co-owner of Bellagio Bistro, which by the way, used to be one of the Apollo Flame Bistro restaurants. Lots of transition and dreams along the way. So this place did not just happen. It was a foodie evolution and planning for years to get to this point.
The Twisted Laurel recently opened up in downtown Asheville, and AskAsheville got an invitation to attend. The atmosphere and presentation was wonderful, wine and beer was being served by a happy staff, and the spread of food offerings was so delicious. We started downstairs, then worked our way up to the second level where lots of folks were gathering and live music was playing on stage.
And, we got to hang out with the lovely gals from i2 Marketing, who were a big part of making this great event happen! Can’t wait to see them again and go to Twisted Laurel for some more yum. If you are in downtown Asheville, make sure you stop by and check this place out. They are located right across from the Asheville Police and Fire Department, and right next to the new club Room Nine. They also have a location in Weaverville NC, just 15 minutes north of downtown.
