A new era for Iwanna Asheville & Greenville

A new era for IWANNA started in Asheville, when IWANNA opened its new offices in the Biltmore Village.

IWANNA, bringing buyers and sellers together for more than 35 years, has been planning the move for the past six months, renovating the facility at 22 Garfield St., Suite 100. The staff is excited about their new quarters behind the Ichiban Japanese restaurant in the Biltmore Station Plaza.

In addition to IWANNA, the new offices will be home to the award-winning creative team that publishes Sophie magazine, a new bridal magazine called I Do, other local publications, and the rapidly growing IWANNA.com website.

“IWANNA’s relocation in the heart of Biltmore Village is a smart move to ensure our strong commitment to continuing to bring buyers and sellers together,” said advertising director Patricia Martin Betts. “Our new location will allow us to expand our classified department to meet the needs of our growing customer and reader base.”

Now owned by the Fayetteville Publishing Company, IWANNA has experienced phenomenal growth starting as a four-page newspaper with 59 classified ads when it launched in 1976 to issues today that exceed 300 pages.

“We have a strong commitment to the local community and we’re the marketplace for people in the Carolinas who want to look for great deals or recycle their gently used stuff,” classified manager Meredith Harvey said.

For the past 35 years, IWANNA has been the largest classified newspaper in Western North Carolina with more than 13,000 classified ads and 250 display ads online and in print each week, servicing 18 counties and reaching more than 39,000 readers each week.

IWANNA also publishes more than dozen special sections each year ranging from their in-depth High School Football section, a Christmas Gift Guide appearing in the November 15th issue and community event guides.

In addition to the Asheville publication, IWANNA publishes the newspaper in Greenville, S.C., and the IWANNA brand is also found in a weekly classified newspaper in Hickory, N.C.

The mailing address is IWANNA, PO Box 15228, Asheville, NC 28813.
