It’s National Dessert Day, And Asheville Has Your Fix!

Asheville DessertsNational foodie days are a great reminder to eat some of the things that we have maybe forgot about, and an excuse to even splurge on some sinful desires that our personal trainer has deprived us of. National Dessert Day is a time to reflect on all of the delicious desserts we have eaten over the course of our lives. I grew up in New York City where we were surrounded by Italian bakeries, cannolis, 7 layer cookies, and so much more. Now I live in Asheville, and dessert is just about everywhere you look. Smallcakes Gets Ready To Open In Biltmore Park, Asheville NC

Smallcakes Cupcakery - Cupcakes & Ice Cream in Asheville

Smallcakes Cupcakery: A cupcake and ice cream franchise with locations in 26 States and also 2 International locations is getting ready to open in Asheville NC. This goes to show you how much the foodie scene is rapidly growing in the Western North Carolina area, as this location in particular has the Coldstone Creamery ice cream shop right across the street from them in Biltmore Park, and Yaya’s Frozen Yogurt just two block away. And cupcakes are pretty big in the Asheville area with some delicious spots such as Short Street Cakes, Ruth & Ranshaw, and a La CupCakes. Yet, we are still a long way off from saying that there are too many cupcakes in Asheville. The Asheville Foodie Community definitely approves of more cupcake action in town. Bring It!
