While taking a tour of downtown Asheville tonight, we ended up at Pack’s Tavern for a networking meeting with many friends and business associates. We were about to leave and someone mentioned that the Junior League of Asheville was meeting upstairs. I knew one person, Kate Leslie, who always talked and bragged about the Junior League and the great work they were doing; so our crew headed up there. To our surprise, it was a room full of over 50 amazing and influential women in the Asheville and Western North Carolina community. I noticed Kate on the front row, and then we also saw Keri, who has been a friend of the family for many years. It felt like home already! After talking to a few people, we learned about the incredible work that the Junior League of Asheville does for women and in the community. One of the key focuses of their program is placing their members with wonderful volunteer opportunities in the WNC area, and make sure the time donated really makes a difference. Glad we spent some time with these great folks and look forward to supporting their work in the area.
Betsy and Jenny have something great going on for women… an awesome hip boutique located in downtown Asheville, about 20 feet down from the famous “Iron” which is located on the corner of Wall Street and Battery Park Ave. Frock has so many wonderful pieces of clothing and accessories in their little shop. I have been going there for years, with my lady friends of course, and it is common for us to get “stuck” in the store looking at the selections, talking to the staff and making purchases. The mother-daughter team allows a stylish perspective that makes many age ranges stylish and beautiful. Next time you ladies go shopping in downtown Asheville, make sure you stop by Frock Boutique. You will not be disappointed!
