JFG’s beginnings trace to 1981 when Sheila Jamison launched a career in what was an overbearingly male-dominated industry. One manager tried to warn her off, saying she “would have to be 3X as good as any man to make it in this industry.” She took that as a challenge! Hard work, diligent study and most of all, caring about her clients’ wellbeing – going beyond mere investments to their lives holistically – took her to financial advisers’ upper echelons.
Mid-1990s, that success led to forming a group, further deepening the talent and expertise. JFG was founded and seasoned in the beating heart of the financial industry, New York City. And when the value of independence to overcome wirehouse restrictions that meant providing less than the best service to clients became evident, JFG became independent to give its all to its clients.
In 2008, JFG expanded to Asheville, NC – for the same reasons we all come here … the incomparable Western North Carolina lifestyle.
