Deepen into Yoga Practice.
The Advanced Yoga Sadhana Program is wise progression through yoga, starting with the tools of Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga, which allow us to see where we are, and finishing with the tools of Classical Yoga and Tantra, which take us to the final goal.
The final goal is often forgotten in our culture. Are we focused on getting a fit body, flexible hamstrings or achieve handstands in the middle of the room? These may be possible side effects of practice, but they are not the purpose of it.
According to the ancient texts, the goal of yoga is to experience the authentic Self — the one free of doubt, fear, conditioning and limitations — and be sustained in that experience. This is big S self we are talking about. The deepest, core, most authentic Self who is yearning to live fully in this world.
These ancient wisdoms — the ones that help navigate the dark-times as well as connect us to our brilliant light — is the foundation of the Advanced Yoga Sadhana course. It is based on the yoga philosophies that are grounded in living a fulfilled, free and embodied life.
These classes are not about giving a good work out or helping someone achieve an externally prescribed form. They are about empowering individuals to connect to their own authentic integrity, from the inside out. It has been 10 years in the making, and I’m thrilled to share it with this community. I hope you will join me in this journey.

The Eight Workshops include:
1) VINYASA KRAMA _ AYURVEDA & YOGA
April 6th, 10 am – 4 pm
Using Ayurveda to understanding where we are, and then apply yogic techniques to balance our body and mind.
2) PRANA VAYUS
May 3rd, 10 am – 4 pm
Discover the five way energy moves in the body & learn how to elegantly balance each through posture, breath, meditation & mantra.
3) VITAL ESSENCES
May 24 – 10 am – 4 pm
Learn prescriptive techniques for building each of Vital Essences — Prana, Tejas & Ojas — so you can balance your practices with the seasons of your life.
4) A WISE PROGRESSION INTO MEDITATION
June 21 – 10 am – 4 pm
Based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, we will look at the mild, medium and intense paths of practice, the nature of suffering, and the practical steps into steadiness, ease and the infinite.
5) KOSHAS: OUR SUBTLE BODIES
July 26 – 10 am – 4 pm
Gain experience with each layer of your being — from the most manifest to the most subltle. We will discuss the for Koshas, or Sheaths, and explore practices that connect you to each.
6) TANTRA YOGA: DISCOVERING YOUR INNER RADIANCE
Aug 16 – 10 am – 4 pm
This class focuses on SamYoga, the merging with the fire, which is the basis of Tantric Practice. We will delve into the teachings of Agni, the inner fire and agent for awakening our clear perception, power and purpose.
7) TANTRA YOGA: Finding Purpose & the 4 Desires
Sept 20 – 10 am – 4 pm
Through the teachings of the Upanishads, we’ll uncover the Four Desires of our Life: Dharma (meaning/purpose), Artha (the means), Kama (pleasure), Moksha (freedom). We’ll discover how to weed out the obstacles that get in the way of our extraordinary life.
8) TANTRA YOGA: Internal & External Practices
Date TBD (For full-time students only)
In addition to being a follow up to the 4 Desires, we will unlock esoteric fire practices – internal fire puja and external fire homa.
