Founded in June of 2006, the Blue Ridge Rollergirls make up Asheville , NC ‘s first all-female, flat-track roller derby league. The league’s mission is to actively create, promote, and sustain an environment that fosters strength, courage, vitality, and the empowerment of women in the roller derby sport. The Blue Ridge Rollergirls are a not-for-profit organization and foster community outreach through our support of local charities. In addition to supporting local causes with our time, we also donate 10% of ticket profits from each of our home bouts to a local charity. We love to give ’til it hurts! The Blue Ridge Rollergirls runs itself by the association’s motto, “for the skaters, by the skaters.”
