Asheville business helps save starving children in Brazil

Charlotte Street Computers is pleased to announce it’s participation with a fundraiser that helps save starving children from a rural community in Brazil.

As many of you may already know, CSC purchases one nights performance to each of the Asheville Community theater’s main stage productions. This allows us to distribute 300 tickets to each of those shows at our discretion. What we do, is partner with 3 non profits per show. Each non profit receives up to 100 tickets that can be sold. All of the money raised by this endeavor goes directly to the non profit.

In the framework of this, we have decided to help some of the most unfortunate souls that we have recently become aware of. We have the great pleasure to work with Iza Dias a bright, engaging and soulful woman from Brazil. She grew up in a regular middle class fashion along the shores of Recife. Living a comfortable life in a poor nation, her parents where dedicated to relive the suffering of the most vulnerable members of society, through Toda Infancia Asisstida. This organization brings food and shelter to a village in the countryside that at times as had a child mortality rate as high as 40%. Can you imagine 2 out of 5 children that you know, dying before the age of five.

This is what we ask of you. Since it would not be practical for the organization to sell the tickets themselves, we are going to do that for them. Beginning now contact to purchase tickets to The Dixie Swim Club for $10 dollars (regular ACT price is $20) for the June 16 showing. All of the money raised for this will go to the children in dire need. Imagine thats 100% of sales will go directly to these kids. Most international relief organizations lose 50%-60% in administration.
